Top Five Sleepers in Fantasy Football With League Winning Upside (2025)

With Fantasy Drafts right around the corner, fantasy football enthusiasts are going to be trying to find the next 2023 Raheem Mostert or 2020 Justin Jefferson who will win leagues for them. Today, we will be looking at five players who will win your fantasy league for you in the later rounds.

Austin Ekeler

Fantasy owners forget how dominant Austin Ekeler was in fantasy football from 2019-2022. Ekeler finished RB1 overall in 2022 and RB2 in 2021 in standard PPR. Ekeler isn’t much of a runner, however with his receiving upside, he has been able to flourish in a passing offense. In 2022, Ekeler totaled 915 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground to go along with 107 receptions, for 722 yards and five touchdowns. With Brian Robinson Jr. being the ground-and-pound back in the Commanders backfield, Ekeler will serve as the third down where we could see Jayden Daniels dump the ball off to him quite frequently next season as Daniels isn’t known for his deep ball threat. Austin Ekeler is listed as RB31 according to ESPN just two years after finishing RB1. With a new offense and a rookie quarterback behind center, don’t be surprised if you see Ekeler finish as a top 13 running back in PPR this season.

Zamir White

When Josh Jacobs went down last season, Zamir White took over as the lead back in Vegas. White finished RB14 (Full PPR) as 4 fantasy points could have put him in the top eight for the last three weeks of the 2023 season. In the four-week period White was the starter, he averaged 99.2 yards per game with his best coming against the Kansas City Chiefs where he had 22 carries for 145 yards. White is expected to be a workhorse in the putrid Raiders offense, who will either have Gardner Minshew or Aiden O’Connell throwing the ball. With having a struggling Alexander Mattison and Ameer Abdullah as the backups, Zamir White will have a great season for the Raiders. Zamir White has potential to be the surprise of the season, like Rachaad White who finished RB4 in 2023.

Keon Coleman

“Josh Allen’s number 1 target this season” is all you have to know about Keon Coleman going into his rookie campaign. The 6 ‘3 215 pound rookie out of Florida State is going to have a top three quarterback in the NFL throwing him the rock this season, so it won’t come as a surprise that he is going to put up decent numbers. We are not saying that Coleman is Stefon Diggs in the slightest, however, when Josh Allen was his starting quarterback, Diggs didn’t have a season where he finished below WR12 (Full PPR). Coleman had 11 touchdowns in 12 games played last season, so we expect him to be a big redzone target for Allen. Coleman is listed as the WR49 (via. ESPN) this season, but we could see him having a Justin Jefferson kind of rookie season.

David Njoku

Overcoming second degree burns to the face from a fire pit, finishing out the season, and still finishing as the TE6 (Full PPR) is something that you don’t see every day. Njoku had a career season in 2023, totaling 81 receptions for 882 and 6 touchdowns. The Cleveland Browns will get their starting quarterback in Deshaun Watson back where he can hopefully turn back to his Houston Texans form to when he was a top five quarterback in the NFL. From Week 10 to Week 17, Njoku was TE1 where he shined throughout the 8-week span, totaling 15+ fantasy points (PPR) with Joe Flacco as his starting quarterback. Not to take away from Flacco, but if Deshaun Watson was the starting quarterback, Njoku’s stats would have been even better. Njoku is listed as the TE8 (via. ESPN) going into this season, but we could see the 28-year-old have the best year of his career and finish top three in 2024.

Jared Goff

The hero for the city of Detroit; Jared Goff is back with the Lions for his fourth season as their starting quarterback. Goff had one of his best seasons yet totaling 4500 yards and 30 touchdowns to go along with a 67.3% competition rate. Goff finished QB8 (Full PPR) in 2023 and managed to take his Detroit Lions to the NFC Championship, where the Lions lost a nail-biter to the San Francisco 49ers. Goff has weapons all over the field including guys like Amon-Ra St. Brown, who finished as the WR4 (Full PPR) last season along with the best running back duo in the league with Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery. With all this being said, Goff is going at QB20 (via. ESPN) right now after this off-season, which is absurd after the year he had last year. Don’t be surprised when Goff has another year where he finishes in the top 10. Look for Goff as a sleeper in the later rounds.
